"Undercover Bush/ bin Laden Camouflage Tactical Vest, 2003AW ‘Paper Doll’. In undoubtedly one of Undercover’s most forward displays of politically-charged imagery, ‘Paper Doll’ referenced the War on Terror in a collection of military-inspired garments with a unique camouflage pattern that incorporated both George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden’s faces within the design. This ripstop tactical vest contains fleece-lined hand warmer pockets as well as an assortment of 3D cargo pockets with both button and snap closures. The vest pictured here is particularly interesting because it features hand distressing and white screen-printed details not seen on other production versions— notably, the circle print across the back is one of the first appearances of Undercover’s now-iconic ‘Giz’ motif. This item appears to be a one off collaborative item with Comme Des Garçons."
